Tim M for Model Number GGW900LW1 My dryer wont run. Here are the symptoms: I can turn the unit on (control on) and select a drying setting (automatic or manual cycles. The appropriate estimated time display changes normally. When I press HOLD TO START button, the unit clicks and the "sensing"status light stays on, but the drum doesnt turn nor does heating begin. In Test mode: all lights function, etc. When I open the door - there is a single beep and code 39 comes up on the display. I have replaced: the two moisture sensing bars, the moisture sensing harness, thermistor and thermal fuse. I still have the same symptoms and the same response in test mode. What is my next step? Tim
Answer Hello Tim. There is a few things to check here. Check the broke belt switch and the door switch. If both are good, then either the main board or the motor is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
