Lawrence for Model Number 11087081601 My Kenmore He5 Electric Dryer Moisture sensor cable gets stuck on damp and 7 minutes even though the clothes are dry on a full load. I have run diagnostics and the moisture bars beep with my finger shorting them. The control board is brand new. The moisture bars have been scrubbed with sand paper and cleaned with alcohol. The only thing is my moisture sensor wire harness 3406653 does not have the extra MOV capacitors on the wire harness. Should I replace the wire harness for one with the updated design to fix the problem of the moisture sensor not sensing dry? What do the MOV capacitors do for the moisture sensing?
Answer Lawrence, With the moisture sensor beeping when you did the diagnostic test then you need to check the outlet thermistor for resistance of 10 K ohms at room temp. This would be the most likely cause for the unit to stop at 7 minutes remaining and not progress any further. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 9, 2016
