George for Model Number KGCS166GSS07 Do you have instructions for how to remove and replace the switches (part no. AP3592411) (kitchen aid part number 4456901) on the kitchen aid KGCS166GSS07 cooktop? I removed the stainless steel top and can see the switches and harness. However, I tried simply pulling up on the switches and it seems that they are somehow locked in place. I tried looking underneath with an inspection mirror and could still not see any obvious answer.
Answer Hi George . On the wiring harness with switches part # is WP4456901, there are switch holding locator pins on the back of each switch. You can use a small straight blade to push out on the back of the body to release from the valve body. Then you can pull off the switches from the valve stems. Use the ceramic wire nuts to hook into the original harness. Thank you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 25, 2011
