Answer Hello Mary, please verify you are getting 240v to the unit, the unit can run on 120v just not heat. First thing you will want to check is all the venting duct for the exhaust vent. The dryer has to be able to breath in order to get rid of the moisture properly. Next, you can make sure the heating element is not shorted and make sure all the thermostat are okay.
