Kelly for Model Number Kudp01flbl1 When my dishwasher runs there is only cold water when I test the water inside the dishwasher during the wash cycle. Do you think I need to replace the heating element to fix the problem? Thanks
Answer Kelly, You will first want to verify that the unit is connected to a hot water source. Also make sure that you are purging your water line at the sink before running the dishwasher. The dishwasher can only boost the temp 1 degree every 4 minutes so if the water supply is coming in cold then this will cause an issue. If the water supply checks ok then you will want to check to make sure that the heater is operational. This can be done during a dry cycle on heated dry by checking for power to the heater and then checking to make sure that the heater is working. If there is power to the heater but the heater does not come on then the heater would be the issue and need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, October 11, 2013
