Gina for Model Number kUDI01IlBLI Regarding this Kitchen Aid dishwasher, I see that there is a new heating element being sold that is different from the old rounded one. I understand that it still fits, but that a new control board is required to make it work. I purchased the older style heating element some time ago and have not yet replaced it. I assume that I won't need to change the control board when I replace it? I know that seems like a stupid question, but I don't want to start changing the element and then realize I need a part I don't have. Thank you.
Answer Gina, if you have the original element you shouldn't need to change the control board. The only reason you would need to change the control board when replacing the element is if you have the manufactured replacement, due to manufacturer changes, or if the control board is currently defective. Hope this helps you. Thanks. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, December 18, 2014
