Stephen A for Model Number Kenmore Pro Dishwasher Model 665.1317* We have a kenmore pro dishwasher with the newer style heating element. Purchased in April 2010. The heating cycle does not appear to be working. Checked the thermostat, it's fine. Visually, the element is fine but I need to check it electrically. If it is bad, will I need the control board as well? Again, the element is visually like the new design. Do you know the electrical resistance of the old and new designs? If I knew that I could determine if a new control board is required.
Answer Stephen, Unfortunately we do not have the resistance reading of the element but you could test to see if it is getting 120 vac to it and if it is then the element would be the issue and if it does not then you would need the control board.
