Briant for Model Number 66516593021 I need a new Heating Element. I see a new circuit board is required. I read above that you can change the element by removing the toe panel and pull out the dishwasher to access the nuts for the heating element under the dishwasher. How is the circuit board changed? Are there instructions included with the new element and circuit board?
Answer Hi Brian. It is not difficult to replace both. More time consuming then hard. If you have small arms then you may be able to reach in all the way laying on one side to the heater connections / nuts. A small adjustable wrench will do. make sure the connectors are tight. Then you remove all the inner door panel screws and unhook all dispenser wire connectors. Set the door aside. Then concentrate on the control panel connections. Take a cell phone picture if needed or mark all wire - to - board connections before removal. There is a wiring diagram supplied with the unit behind the kick plate or the controls if needed. Make sure that you ground -out yourself at least 4x to insure static discharge so you do not accidentally ruin the board. Then the body of the new board is UN clipped from the back of the keypad. UN hook the ribbon cable and lay aside. Make sure the ribbon cable is not pinched upon reassembly. Do not touch the inside of the circuit board !. Thank You. Read More...
