Larry for Model Number KUDS01DLSS2 Dishwasher timer stopped advancing. I thought it was the computer control board so i bought it from this sight. I put it in now the unit runs a few minutes and shuts off. Is the new board for the new heater element if i need to replace or do i have to buy the combo? If i have to buy the combo can i return the board i have?
Answer Larry, the element and control board are the least likely issue, at this point, based on your post. " Condition Consumer is experiencing longer than normal cycle times, poor cleaning or drying. CAUSE The heating element is open and is not providing heat for washing or drying. RESOLUTION Replace the heating element with a kit, Part # 8194200, consisting of an element and an electronic control. To improve heater quality, the heating element is being replaced with a new style element with a higher wattage. The new element has a different shape but uses the same brackets as the original element." You may want to return the control you purchased and order the reccomended kit as you mentioned. But, at this point, you more than likely have an issue in the control panel/keypad assembly WP8531257.You most likely have a keypad that is shorting out or collapsing and making a different selection during the operation of the cycle.
