Greg M for Model Number KUDS01DLWH2 We have had some difficulty with our diswasher. Could not change cycles and had an error that requested us to reset the diswasher. So we replaced the control panel. We were able to reset the system. But would not run a full cycle. Error code was it flashed 7 times. upon further inspection we looked at the control board and noted scorched components from a short. Ordered the panel. Installed. The system did not require a reset and started a normal cycle. 6 minutes of running and then started its 59 minute cycle. in the 48th minute it shut down and went to 2 for a drain cycle. Googling this would indicate it did not maintain temperature. is this a heater element that needs to be replaced? Temp sensor? Or.... Oh and can I remove these from inside without pulling the unit out? Remodel and tile do not allow acces to pulling it out without removing the tile. :(
Answer Hello Greg. Sorry, but it will need to be pulled out to test the heater and the thermal cut out if you can not reach from the bottom after removing the toe panel. Both parts should test closed for continuity if they are good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
