Cb for Model Number kwds01djss0 kitchen aid dishwasher I ordered the heating element kit and installed both pieces effectively...so it seemed. Upon powering up the dishwasher the LED readout does not show proper characters anymore. I only get two dashes on bottom and two dashes to the very right. The led readout worked properly prior to the installation of the heating element kit. Please let me know if there is something I did wrong or the resolution to the problem...Thank you for your assistance
Answer CB, It sounds like the door switches or wiring may be at fault "WON’T START AND TWO DASHES APPEAR IN DISPLAY - Door switch not making contact: ¦ Faulty door latch assembly. ¦ Faulty door switch. - Loose connections between door switches and pin 8 on control. - Control not receiving Start key (or cycle key, if model has no Start key)." Also check and clean the insertion end of the keypad ribbon with rubbing alcohol, and make sure the ribbon is inserted properly and tightly into the connector on the new control board. Read More...
