Brian for Model Number Kenmore 665.16599201 My dishwasher has a burned-out heating element that looks identical to part W10134009. I have a stainless steel tub. It looks like the new part 8194200 has a circuit board as well. Can you tell me the purpose of the circuit board? I see earlier in the Q/A that you indicate the dishwasher is more efficient with the new element + circuit board. Is the circuit board needed for safety reasons, or is it just needed because the new heating element is a different shape and requires different power input?
Answer Hello Brian! Yes, the heating element kit 8194200 is the correct replacement for your model 665.16599201. The board is needed to run the heating element, due to a change the manufacturer has made. Thanks! Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 14, 2013
