Bruce E. for Model Number SVE47600B This isn't a question; it's feedback. I had a hinge break on my oven. I ordered a pair of (factory certified) replacements, which arrived promptly. My disappointment is with the parts them selves. After replacement, the door wouldn't close all the way un-assisted. I mounted the old hinges, w/o the door, and they sloped in toward the top. the new hinges sloped away from the top. I was able to do some grinding to get the new hinges to at least parallel, but this should not have been necessary.
Answer Bruce, Thanks for the input. You're correct, grinding the hinges isn't necessary. It's been a long time practice with these units to replace the hinges and the receptacles WP71002206 at the same time. In some cases you may want to or have to insert two small thin washers between the receptacle and the front flange on the top mounting screw, to offset the receptacle, then put the oven through a 4 hour self clean cycle, so the gasket and the door panel reseat and conform to the opening.
