M.M. for Model Number whirlpool washer : ghw9200lw Is this the correct part needed? The door sags. I have to lift on it, just before closing in order for the washer to close. I read the posts but I wasn't sure if I had any door damage. I didn't see anything noticeable. What should I look for if there was door damage?

Most of these that I have had to change was due to folks putting their weight on the door with their arm while loading or unloading the machine. You simply cannot see damage by just looking at it. The only way you can tell it has damage is by opening the door and closing it slowly while watching the alignment of the door strike as it meets the door switch assembly. If it strikes too low, the hinge replacement is the only way to correct the situation. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 30, 2012
