Brian for Model Number kitchenaid kudk03itbs0 Concerning AP3178188, what is the diameter of the end connections? Besides AP3178188 is there another suitable hose that is at least 8 feet long so I can loop it? This is the same length as the one currently installed, that doesn't have a loop.

The inside diameter is the important concern, and this hoses appears to have a 3/4 to 7/8 inch inside diameter(like all dishwasher drain hoses) and should get you what you want.
