Tom Oconnor for Model Number Ksra25cnss00 I bought a new ice maker from you and it still does not work. I Jumped the t and h on motor mod and nothing happens. If the water sol is bad will it keep the ice maker from working? Or getting power can I change the wires on sol from disp water to ice maker will that fool the ice maker to think the sol is good? Will the module on side of refrigerator, the on off that flashes red be bad? Thanks tom
Answer Tom, A faulty water solenoid wouldn't keep the ice maker from cycling. Power(120 vac) to the ice maker is supplied through the I/R sensor control boards W11629974. When you open the freezer door, look at the LED on the control on the right side of the opening. It should be on solid or not illuminated if the system is off, or in a harvest mode. If the LED is flashing, press in on the cover on the left side of the freezer compartment, the LED should be on , if it continues to flash, the control has failed and you'll need to replace the W11629974 Ice Level Power Control Board Kit.
