The Icemaker Complete Add-On Kit is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerators. The kit includes the icemaker head, auger motor assembly, wire harness, installation hardware, and more. These allow ice production capability to be added to older refrigerators that were not initially equipped with icemaking.

Causes of a bad icemaker can include wear and tear from regular use, mineral buildup from hard water, and electrical issues that affect the ice production cycle.

Symptoms of a bad icemaker include:

  • No ice production or slow ice-making
  • Ice cubes that are irregularly shaped or smaller than usual
  • Leaks or water pooling in the ice maker area
  • Unusual noises during the ice-making process

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Hi Arvee. You will need to install the water valve behind the fridge on the rt. lower corner. The tubing should be from the water valve output to the ice maker. The supply will hook up to the inlet to the valve. The fill tube will go into the round peel off sticker on the back upper rt. of the cabinet. You will install ant mount the ice maker . Make sure as you tighten the ice maker to the inside of the cabinet that you level it, then install the bottom front screw. Make sure that the bail arm is dowm. It should start to cycle when the ice maker reaches freezer temperatures. Thank you.
