Gerald D for Model Number Amana French Door with bottom freezer I hooked up the water supply with a needle valve and it was not sufficient enough to keep the water faucet portion going. Some ice was made. I replaced the needle valve with the proper saddle valve and have plenty of pressure but the ice maker will not make ice. It did make some ice when there was insufficient flow for the water tap. Any suggestions to get it going. I have just purchased the refrigerator.
Answer Gerald, If you operated the fridge foe an extended period of time, with the poor water pressue, you may have damaged the solenoid on the water valve. Also check and flush the water supply line, if you didn't already, and check to make sure you didn't loosen the wires on the solenoids by accident. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
