Dave for Model Number Whirlpool 8201515 Ice maker stopped workiname home one night and the entire tray where the ie drops intow was filled water as was most of the fridge. I thought it might have been due to a power outage or something. Cleaned the fridge and everything seemed to be working fine, nice and cold but ice maker stopped working. Tested it and got it to cycle but no water is entering the tray. Tube wasnt clogged or frozen. Suggestions?
Answer Dave, You didn't supply us a model number, the first thing to consider is an issue with the fill valve, on the back of the refrigerator, and check and flush the water line. Since you know how to cycle the icemaker, you may want to disconnect the wires to the icemaker valve solenoid and check for 120 VAC across the wires, when the icemaker reaches the fill incremenet of the cycle, That would confirm a good icemaker.
