Amy for Model Number KSCS25INSS I have a kitchenaid refrigerator with icemaker that is 5 years old (model KSCS25INSS). About 5 months ago, the icemaker stopped ejecting ice. We purchased and installed the Replacement for Refrigerator Icemaker Motor Module Assembly. That solved the problem for about 2 months. At that point, the icemaker stopped ejecting ice, however the water kept trying to refill the trays, thus causing a the water to freeze throughtout the freezer. There were icicles everywhere, but no ice. At this point, we are thinking we need to purchase the entire Refrigerator ice maker assembly. Are we correct in thinking that is the right solution? Any advice would be appreciated.
Answer Hello Amy. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the icemaker 2198597 is bad and will need to be replaced. If you replaced the module, and the unit does not eject the ice and overflows, you will need to replace the icemaker assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
