Dmay for Model Number 10656566400 My Kenmore side by side refrigerator's ice maker quit working after the power was turned off and we had to evacuate due to fires for 3 days. When we returned everything in the freezer had melted, but the power had been back on for about 5 hours and things were refreezing. The ice maker will dispense a couple pieces of ice now and then. If I press the accelerate ice button it will drop some ice, but then I won't get anymore for about 6 hours. I had a repair person out and he said we need to replace the whole unit at a price of almost $400! Is this true? It was working perfectly before the power was turned off and we were forced to evacuate. Seems to me the freezing/melting/refreezing could have caused the problem. Thanks for your help!
