Jaime for Model Number ED5FVGXWS07 I have a Whirlpool refrigerator model ED5FVGXWS07, which suddenly stopped making ice. The refrigerator and freezer cool and freeze perfectly. I proceeded to change the hose from the valve to the inlet of the ice maker, new filter, new water valve, there is excellent water supply, new Icemaker motor kit and the new cycling thermostat. 1. First Question: When I turn on the power, the ice machine motor wheel spins, the 8 ice compartment fills with water, and that's it, it doesn't do anything else. That is, it does not throw frozen ice into the ice container. I would like to know what else I can review. 2. Second Question: How long time take de cycle, between fill the water in the compartiment and eject the ice. Thank you.
Answer Hello Jaime, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. Make sure the automatic shutoff/bail arm on the ice maker is in the down position and that the actual temperature in the freezer is 8°F or less. If both of these are correct, I recommend replacing the Ice Maker Assembly WPW10190965 WPW10190965. The manufacturer has not supplied cycle times for the ice maker other than to state that it may take up to 24 hours to make the first batch of ice after install. Read More...
