Anna Ice maker on Whirlpool french-door style fridge stopped working so I ordered part 8201515 and replaced the motor unit. Then the ice maker would successfully make 1 cycle of ice and then stop, with the wire arm in a downward angle but not fully down. If I push the wire arm fully back down manually (while pushing the door switch off), then the cycle will start again successfully. If I completely remove the wire arm, the ice maker cycles continuously. So I suspect something with the wire arm mechanism. Is it possible the wire arm is misshapen and needs to be replaced? It looks ok to the eye but maybe is slightly bent.
