Answer Samantha, the ice maker can be tested for 120VAC with the door switch taped down to identify if it is receiving operational voltage. If it is, and the freezer is reaching 0°F when verified with a thermometer, the next step would be verifying that the water valve receives 120VAC at the end of a harvest cycle (a jumper wire placed from port T to port H just behind the face cover will start a harvest cycle, the wire would be removed after the ice arms reach the 3 o'clock position). If voltage reaches the valve and the ice maker fills with water, the ice maker is not cycling properly and would need to be replaced. Read More...
