Heidi for Model Number ABB1921BRM I am replacing an existing ice maker. While the directions say to do so, do I really have to replace the water valve too. It says the new valve and the new icemaker in the kit both need to be used. It seems unnecessary. What happens if I replace the ice maker and leave the current water valve as is? I want to understand the why of that.
