Rich for Model Number WRS965CIAM01 My fridge has the icemaker in the door, part number W10122576. It has stopped making ice. There is a small amount of frozen water in the mold. I have good pressure and can fill an 8 oz. glass with water from the water dispenser. A couple of questions: Is is possible for the icemaker portion of the water inlet valve to be bad while the water dispenser portion of the water inlet valve is good? Also, the number on the icemaker in the fridge is W10122576, but I have also seen some websites which say WPW10251076 replaces W10122576. What is the difference, as W10122576 is significantly less cost than the WPW10251076, but the photos look exactly the same? Could this also be a problem with the ice level optics, as I don't see any lights when pulling out the bin and holding the door switches and bin flapper switch in.
Answer Rich, It is very possible that the water valve could have failed and you would need to cycle the ice maker and check the water valve to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to the valve. If there is not then this will be a faulty icemaker which would be part number WPW10251076 which comes with a new harness base plate. Read More...
