Ron for Model Number Kenmore 106.51789410 Refridgerator

I have icemaker W10122576 in the door. I had been having issues with the ice maker not dispensing through the door intermittently for a while. It made plenty of ice, but every few times it would not dispense when the glass was placed against the door switch. Now it is not dispensing at all and has stopped making ice altogether. I disconnected the solenoids at the valve and tested both and they seemed to actuate (I did not remove the valve or disconnect the water but the water was shut off). I opened everything up and checked power to the icemaker- ok. I tried to jump T to H but got no rotation of the timer gear. I removed the assembly and applied power to the motor and it turned ok. I could see the gear moving and hear/feel the motor. I reassembled but again the jumper did not actuate the motor. The optic sensor seems to be working. Are there additional tests I can do? Where can I get the test doc? Could this be a controller interface issue? All the indicators seem to work ok and I can still dispense water just fine. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Answer

Ron, based on the information provided, the wiring at the door LW10669581 hinge will need to be inspected for a broken wire. As the water dispenser is working properly, this allows us to know that the user interface should be operating properly. If there is not a broken wire at the hinge, it is likely that the main control W11088506 is bad.
