Manuel for Model Number 10651133210 My ice maker is not making ice. Auger motor and water filters are new. I followed the instructions on your video and using a multimeter, the water dispensing valve and the thermostat need to be replaced. But I still have water dispensing at the freezer door; if the multimeter says that there is an open line (O.L), then why the water is still functioning? Do I have to disassemble the entire ice maker unit to replace the thermostat?
Answer Manuel, it would be recommended that the freezer temperature is verified using a thermometer as the ice maker thermostat will not close if the ice maker does not get below 10°F. In regards to the valve WPW10341320, one solenoid goes to the water dispenser while the other solenoid goes to the ice maker. As this valve does make the operation of the dispenser and the ice maker independent of each other to an extent, the failure of one solenoid may not affect the other. Read More...
