  • No ice production or very little ice being made
  • Ice cubes that are smaller than normal or misshapen
  • Leaking water in the freezer compartment
  • Unusual noises during the ice making cycle, such as clicking or buzzing

Causes of a bad icemaker can include issues with the water inlet valve, freezer temperature not being cold enough, or mechanical failures within the icemaker itself, such as a faulty motor or an obstructed fill tube.

Answer

Dana, there would not necessarily be a reset for the ice maker. It would be recommended that the door hinge is inspected for any broken wires. If there are none, the next step would be opening the door, taping the door switch and the optical board flapper shut (optics must have a clear line of sight), then testing the ice maker for 120VAC. If there is not 120VAC, the receiver optics W11813704 would be the likely cause of failure. If there is 120VAC and the ice maker does not harvest, the ice maker WPW10251076 has failed (if the freezer temperature has been verified as being at the proper temperature using a thermometer).
