George717 for Model Number Jenn-Air Range, Model#JGS8860BDP I need to replace one of the ignitors on my stove, however I can't move the 2 screws, despite using penetrating oil and an impact hammer (one of the screws actually broke). What's the best way to remove the other screw (without breaking)? Do I need to drill out the broken screw and replace it also? THANKS, george717
Answer George, As you probably know, these "TORX" head screws WP3368921 are subjected to high heat,spillage, moisture, etc. They can be very difficult to remove and replace after a few years of usage. It's best to have a few on hand. In cases like yours, it's best to carefully drill out the screw head, then remove the burner base, drip pan, etc. Then carefully extract the screw using a pair of pliers or small vice grips.
