Laura for Model Number maytag PER5710BAW Hello , While trying to turn on the stove it beeped and gave the F1 code and no sub numbers . Checked and The bottom heat element was broken. Ordered one and installed but still getting the F1 code. The Control board need to be replaced? Bought this stove back in 2005 , is this the life span of stoves these days? I will have to get a new one as there are burners that have quit working as well.
Answer Hello Laura, The F1 error code will indicate an error in the circuitry. Test the oven sensor first to make sure that it is 1090 ohms. If within 10 percent then it is good. If not then it is bad. If sensor is good at room temp then you would want to replace control board. WP5701M680-60 Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 13, 2013
