Hello Ben, As best as I can tell, the knobs have a clip under them that hold them to the shaft. You will have to reach under the knob with a hook shaped tool and grab the clip and pull it out from the side. Then the knob will slide straight off. To reinstall the knob, you put the clip on the back of the knob and push it onto the shaft.
