Kathy S for Model Number KGSC308LSS0 I purchased the NG to LP spuds part #9755428; there are 5. 1 blue, 1 green, 2 black, 1 brass ( assuming this is for convection oven) What do the colors represent and which burner do they go in?
Answer Kathy, The colors and the numbers engraved on the side of the orifice refer to the size of the opening, which corresponds to a specific BTU rating of each burner. Your range has three different sized burners and they need to be installed in the proper location. So: The one(1) All Brass orifice (65mm) is for the oven, the broil burner to be exact. The two(2) Black ringed orifices (67mm)will be installed in the right front and the left rear burners. The one(1)Blue ringed orifice(95mm) will be installed in the right rear burner. and the Green ringed orifice(1.05mm) will be installed in the left front burner. The oven bake burner orifice will need to be adjusted. using a 1/2 inch open end wrench, you'll need to turn the orifice hood on the safety valve 2 to 2 1/2 revolutions down(clockwise) to lower the orifice onto the internal LP pin inside the valve. Don't forget, you'll need to remove the "cap" on the regulator and "flip" the cap so that the LP mark is facing up. Also make sure you label the Nat gas orifices and set them aside in a safe place on the range, so you can have them handy, should you have to convert the range back to Nat gas. Read More...
