Jimmy for Model Number KGSS907SSS00 We hadn't used the oven for a week. The power had gone out during the time we didn't use it. I wonder if that caused the following: -The oven light is on and won't turn off. However, if I wiggle the latch just right, it would turn off, but when I let go, it would turn back on. -The latch won't come to a good resting position. When I try to open the door, it catches a few times, then releases. -The oven won't get hot. All of the electronics and sounds seem normal, but the gas doesn't seem to ignite. -Everything else does work, including the burners on top. I might try to change the latch mechanism, but that probably won't fix the issue of not heating up. What should I do? The unit is about 10 years old.
Answer Jimmy, This does sound like the door latch would need to be replaced on the unit for the oven light issue but for the issue of the no heat you will want to check to see if the igniter is coming on and if it is not then this will most likely be a control board issue.
