Dawn for Model Number GHW9460PL0 When the door is closed and washer is set to start it displays a F/DL code which seems to be the door latch mechanism the problem is it then starts clicking and locks but does not let you open the door again I have to unplug it for several days and by chance, it sometimes opens and sometimes not. How do I get it open when it remains locked? I need to replace the latch but can't get the door open.
Answer Hello Dawn, You can remove the main top OR the kick panel to access the back of the main front panel where the door latch is located. If you look at the picture of the part, you can see that one end has a loop made on it. Pull this loop toward the floor and pull on the door to open it. Read More...
