Beth, First check the lid hinges and lid bearing for loose screws, and worn out lid hinge bearings WP21258, the lid has to be relatively tight in the opening. Then check the switch actuator and screws in the lid. Then consider the lid switch assembly 285671 it may be starting to fail. Thanks and Good Luck
