Larry C for Model Number mav5000aww My maytag washer will go through the wash cycle, but will not spin and drain before the rinse cycle. The timer will advance all the way through to off. could this be a lid switch problem or maybe the water level switch?
Answer Larry, It's most likely the "lid switch assembly" 12001908, The water level switch, controls the fill cycle, and is bypassed in the spin cycle by the timer contacts. But if the switch or plunger is at fault, it will fill and wash, but won't spin and drain. Thanks and Good Luck. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 11, 2011
