Cga for Model Number MAV9600EWW I have a Maytag MAV9600EWW washer. Every once in a while, the machine won't initiate a spin cycle automatically. This happens in all 3 cycles. It will start normally but sometimes when it finally gets to the spin cycle it doesn't engage. I have to manually put it in a spin mode to get the water to drain and spin out the wet clothes. This happens intermittently. Looking around in the console or the tub housing, I see nothing loose or broken. Looking at the lid switch cam, it is loose and 'floppy'. It activates a plunger-like rod to a switch up in the console. I'm wondering if this loosness is possibly causing it and why the problem is intermittent.
Answer Hello CGA, the lid switch is 12001908, if the switch is replaced and the problem still occurs then the timer is faulty, the timer is part 22003445 but shows as no longer available due to being discontinued by the manufacturer.
