Eli T for Model Number Model: LAT2500AB, Serial 29266893YY Washer does not admit hot water. Fills with cold water only and goes through complete cycle. Hot water hose is hot near the spigot it is attached to. Could this be due to faulty lid switch? I replaced it a few years ago when the original switch would not admit any water at all. Any other possibilities?
Answer Eli, It's not the lid switch, It's most likely a clogged hose or valve screen, and or faulty fill valve WP96160 WP22002360 . Turn the water faucets off, remove the hoses at both the faucets and fill valve and check for sediment in the screens and "flush the faucets, if the screens aren't clogged, replace the fill valve.
