Joe for Model Number mmv1153aab Hi, my microwave is growling and not working. I think it is the magnetron. How hard is it to replace? Will I need special tools? The microwave is 7 years old.
Answer Hello Joe, To replace magnetron you may need to have a #20 Safety torx bit. There are normally two of these screws on the upper corners of the back of the microwave. The rest of the screws would be phillips head screwdriver. You would remove cabinet, once cabinet is removed there are 4 screws holding magnetron WP53001044 in place. Read More...
