Mike D. for Model Number RBS245PDQ-8 Not until several hours after installing the new microcomputer did we see the Westinghouse instruction sheet (stored inside the oven!) that directs the installer (us) to 'program the cavity size'. This must be done supposedly within 60 seconds (!) of turning on the oven. This involves pushing a bunch of buttons in sequence (STOP TIME, TEMP UP, COOK TIME, BAKE, BROIL, etc. Then setting the display for the 24" model we have. So we did this later after powering off the oven at the breaker box and turning it back on. Question is - is this OK?
Answer Hello Mike. Yes, as long as the size was entered, and the unit is working properly, then the microcomputer 8186024 is programed correctly. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, March 28, 2012
