Tony for Model Number KHMS145JBT-0 Hello, I have a Kitchenaid KHMS145JBT0 that stopped working. Lights and fan work but seems to click a few times after you try to cook. Turntable or power doesn't seem to come on but the light does. I ran the test and all 8 came up except Easy Simmer came up with Hm 574. Would I need to replace the computer control board, touch pad or maybe the magnetron? Thanks, Tony
Answer Hello Tony, You should test the humidity sensor. This is the code that showed up on simmer. If it tests good, you need to test for 120Vac on the PRIMARY side of the high voltage transformer with the unit turned on. If the 120Vac is not there, the board is the most likely cause of the failure. If it is there, you should remove the unit from the electrical power supply, discharge the high voltage capacitor, and test the high voltage transformer as per the tech sheet. Read More...
