Yvonne for Model Number Whirlpool Super Capacity 465 gas stove One of the top burners on my Whirlpool Super Capacity 465 oven is making the clicking sound as though it was going to light, but there is no gas coming to the burner. It just started to make this sound. The burner works when I cut the knob on to get the gas to ignite. Is this switch going out and is there any danger until I can get a repairman here? I am not trying to light the burner.
Answer Yvonne, This issue sounds like you would have a bad ignition switch on the valve. It is recommended that when the unit is not in use that you unplug it.
