This spark module generates the high-voltage pulses that ignite your gas surface burners. Replacing a failed module restores consistent clicking and lighting so burners ignite quickly and reliably.

  • Supplies timed high-voltage pulses to each surface igniter when a burner knob is turned
  • Coordinates ignition for four burners
  • Common symptoms: no spark on any burner, only some burners sparking, continuous clicking after flame lights, or intermittent/weak spark
  • Helps resolve burners that only light with a match
What's included: 1 spark module Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off gas before servicing
  • Access location varies by model
  • Label and transfer wires one at a time to the new module; ensure the ground connection is secure
  • Reinstall in the original position, route wires away from heat/sharp edges, and test all burners

Doug, It is possible for the igniter to be bad if it is not sparking in the proper position it will not light the burner. Double check to make sure that the cap and burner head are clean and if they are then replace the igniter.

Yvonne, This issue sounds like you would have a bad ignition switch on the valve. It is recommended that when the unit is not in use that you unplug it. You can plug it in to use the unit just unplug when not in use.

Patrick, Yes, it is normal for all four top burner igniters to spark, when any burner knob is turned to the on or lite position. If one burner will not ignite you need to check the burner area for debris, check that the spark is as bright as the other burner and strike in the same area of the burner, it's nor erratic or bouncing to different areas. The oven igniter is a separate system, the power to the igniter is supplied from the control, when power is applied to the "hot surface" igniter / glow bar, it starts to glow, then when the amperage draw reaches 3.2 to 3.6 amps (2.5 to3.0 for round igniters) the safety valve opens and the burner ignites. You most likely have a weak oven burner igniter and it will need replacement. If you should need more assistance, please include a model number of the range, we can be more precise and accurate with electrical and parts requirements. Thanks

Hello Richard, Since all four surface ignitors spark at the same time when any are energized, it does not matter which connect where.

Frank, You would want to use the factory recommended part and there really is no advantage of the 6mA to the 4mA. The voltages would be around 13,000 vdc. The part number you would want to use for your unit is WB13K10054.

Hello Ray, You need to make sure you have a good ground present at the burners by the ignitors and the spark module is sparking. If the spark module isn't making a clicking sound, it could be bad or the spark switch assembly could have failed.
