The LED Light Module Kit is an OEM part compatible with Whirlpool refrigerators and freezers. The kit contains 12 LED lights to replace all LEDs within the refrigerator. Causes of a bad light module can include failure of individual LED bulbs over time, wires detaching from the circuit board, or damage from moisture intrusion.

Symptoms of a bad LED light module include:

  • Dim, flickering, or completely non-functional lighting
  • Hot spots or sections of the module not illuminating
  • Audible buzzing or humming from internal electronics

This replacement is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

George for Model Number 4-Door French Door Refrigerator, Model #: WRX735SDBM

Hello There - We got this 4-door refrigerator 1.5 year ago, and the upper LED module (with 8 LED) in Refrigerator started dimmed and sometimes they kept flickering and after few flickering the LED turned to bright as normal. However, they turned to dimmed again next time when open the door. Finally the LED module keeps dimmed with 1 LED off. We tried to replac the LED module with one bought from eBay (buyer said it is a new one and was tested). However, this replacement does all same thing - the module keeps dimmed and one of LEDs is off (not the same LED). I used a multi-meter to obtain the source/input voltage from the white connector (to LED module): 29.5 VDC, My first question is if the source voltage 29.5VDC is the issue or if LED module, and even control board is the root cause in this case? Another issue is the freezer light was off as well later, and I checked the light switch, and got the Voltage 105VAC on the source power to the switch, whereas it is 120VAC on power outlet. The freezer light turned on after putting back the original switch, however, it turned off again after I checked up the LED module in refrigerator (disconnected and reconnected the LED module), so that I have to re-do the switch re-connection again to make the light on. Thus the questions are 1) if the source voltages to the lights I got on both Refrigerator and freezer are correct or not? 2) does it seem the control board may cause the problem base on all described above? 3) what I should do to further nail down the foot cause of the light failures - especially the refrigerator LED dimmed? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Answer

George, All of the lights will go through the main control board and based on the information supplied the main control board W11035835 will be the issue.
