Tony October 09, 2024 for Model Number WRF767SDHZ I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator model number WRF767SDHZ back in 2021 from Lowes. My issue is that some of the internal LED illumination lights are not working. There are LED lights in the refrigerated section on the side walls and the top/ceiling wall. There are also lights in the freezer compartment. The lights on the ceiling in the refrigerated section are not working, but the side wall lights ARE working. Also, none of the lights in the freezer compartment are working. Any insight as to how to go about repairing this?
1 Answer Hello Tony, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. The LEDs in this unit are wired in series, meaning if 1 is out the others in that series will be out or very dim. The top LEDs in the fridge and the LED in the freezer are in 1 series and the side LEDs in the fridge are in another. This is a known issue from the manufacturer and [W11683243] is actually all 12 of the LEDs in the unit as the manufacturer changed from single-point LEDs to multi-point LEDs and recommends replacing all of the LEDs to prevent this from being an ongoing issue. Jyoti July 23, 2024 for Model Number KRFF507ESS01 All the ceiling LED lights in my fridge went out after flickering for a couple of days. On the side - one LED on the left is out. The LED lights on the right side and above the freezer drawer are all on. How do I figure out which light needs to be replaced and which one is the faulty one? Can a LED that is still lit be the faulty one as well? Please help

1 Answer Fred, this would indicate that there is likely a shorted LED in one of the lights. Commonly, the freezer LED module W11683243 is where the failure would be. This can be verified by taping the freezer door switch down and plugging a jumper wire in place of the LED module. Gary September 12, 2023 for Model Number krff507ess01 I have one LED light out and the remaining lights flickering in the top cooling section of the refrigerator. What should I order to replace? Second question, there is occasional loud noise coming from the top of the refrigerator where the ice maker is located, but it is not the regular noise we have experienced in the six years we have had the unit. The unit will have some popping noise along with some churning sounds; what part would you think needs replaced? Thanks

1 Answer Bill, the freezer LED W11683243 will need to be tested. This can be done by opening the door, taping the door switch in the shut position, and removing the LED so that a jumper wire can be used in its place. 1 Answer Drew, it would be recommended that the freezer LED W11683243 is removed after taping the freezer door switch down. Once it is removed, place an insulated jumper wire (1/4" of each end should be bare wire) in place of the LED and open the refrigerator doors. Greg September 14, 2021 for Model Number WRX988SIBM03 Hello I have an issue with led lights in my fridge. Inside upper there are 5 led's left rear led is out completely the other 4 are dim.
