Nate for Model Number LSR8233JQ1 Whirlpool Washer My washer is having an issue with the spin cycle, I've replaced the clutch and coupler (which both ended up being fine but I replaced them anyway). It will sometimes go into spin no problem, but other times it won't. The agitator works fine, and it pumps water out fine even when it doesn't spin. When it doesn't spin I can shake and bounce the basket a few times and it will eventually kick in, but every time it does kick in I hear a loud klunk sound. Not continuous, just a single klunk. Is the drain kit a possible fix for this?
Answer Nate, You will want to check the drive block on the unit, which is located under the tub. If in the center of the drive block you do not see 2 metal pieces in a groove on either side then the drive block is bad and would need to be replaced. Read More...
