Sam for Model Number 59676053702 I need to replace my drip pan on this bottom freezer model. I"ve located the part # AP4507881 and getting ready to order, but am wondering if this is something I can replace myself without calling a service rep. Not sure how to get the old one out. Do I have to remove other parts to get to it? If it's screwed in, how do I get to the screw. Thanks!
Answer Sam, Replacing the drip pan in the unit is a daunting task but can be done. When you pull the refrigerator out and remove the lower panel make sure that you unplug the unit. You will need to manipulate the fan shroud out without breaking it. The shroud will have to be twisted counter clockwise to get it out. Once the fan shroud is out the pan just lifts out and there is a tower for the drain on it that will have to be switched over. Install the new pan and put the shroud back in the way that it was in previously. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, September 24, 2013
