Garry for Model Number Jenn Air JDB1270AWY Dishwasher buttonson the top panel stopped working yesterday, except for one. Using the "heated dry" button to activate child lockout still works and lights up. But no other button does anything and no dishwasher operation. I already replaced a broken door latch assembly about a month ago. Machine was working fine until yesterday. I've read there are 3 possible problems - bad connection, bad panel control, or the control board. I assume since the "heated dry" will work the machine is getting power. My question is which of the other two items is more likely to be bad. I'm a novice at this and do not have any meters to check anything electrial and wouldn't know what to look for anyway. I guess worse case I'd have to buy both and return the one not the problem, or just replace both since the machine is about 7 years old.
Answer Garry, The keypad is the most likely cause of failure. You will want to make sure that there is a good contact of the ribbon harness and check that there is no corrosion on the cable. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, March 28, 2013
