Ruth for Model Number ADB1500WW3 This unit is 5+ years old. It has occasionally had this problem where the lights on the buttons of the keypad of the control panel do not light up. Some of them will, arbitrarily, but yesterday it would not start at all even though some of the buttons would still light. Seems the lights don't mean it is changing. Is it worth changing the whole control panel at it's age, or should we just get a new one? If you think it's worth changing, are the directions fairly simple? Everything else is in great shape (no rust or anything) thanks, Ruth
Answer Ruth, You're pretty much on target, The 6-919800 Control panel/keypad assembly is the most likely issue. It is a relatively easy repair to make using basic tools and a few minutes (15 to 30 minutes) of your time. Your dishwasher is half way through the normal life expectancy of the product, so it may be worth the time and effort to repair, especially if " Everything else is in great shape". Read More...
